Alhaji Isa Baba Buji, a delegate from Jigawa State has died ahead of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential primary.
Until his death, late Buji was the chairman of APC in Jigawa Central.
He died before the election of the presidential candidate of APC in Abuja.
Reports have it that he slumped at the State Liaison Office at FCT, while getting ready to go to the venue of the convention.
Buji’s death was confirmed by Laolu Akande, the spokesperson of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
According to Akande, Osinbajo has expressed his condolence over the sudden demise of Buji. A tweet from Akande read;
”VP Osinbajo saddened by news of the death this afternoon, in Abuja, of Alh. Isa Baba Buji, 61, one of our APC delegates from Buji Local Government, Jigawa State. He extends heartfelt condolence to his family, associates, govt & people of the State & prays his soul rests in peace”
