Irate Youths Set Fire On Cow Market In Oyo State

Youths in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State on Friday, January 15, set ablaze an abandoned cow market in Igangan town.

Report emerging revealed that there was an agreement by the dwellers in the area that the market should be shut down due to insecurity in the axis of the state.

However, youths went to the settlement of Serikin Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, after setting the market on fire.

The source noted that the youths warned Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir and his children to ensure that the issues of insecurity become a thing of the past in the area.

Alhaji Abdulkadir said some of his children were attacked by the youths, led by a popular thug in the state.

Recall that General Kunle Togun (rtd), former boss of the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) and current chairman, Oyo State Amotekun (Security Network) corps, had revealed that foreign Fulani herdsmen were planning to overrun the southwest region of Nigeria.Youths in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State on Friday, January 15, set ablaze an abandoned cow market in Igangan town.

According to him, the wave of banditry and kidnapping in the southwest is a result of alien terrorists’ infiltration of the region.
