Ifeanyi Uba Wins Senatorial Election

Ifeayin Uba has been declared winner of the Anambra South senatorial election.
This is according to result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The oil magnate and chairman of Capital Oil won the election conducted on Saturday, February 23.
Uba who contested on the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP). He defeated the incumbent Senator, Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the keenly contested election.
The electoral seat has hitherto been won by the Uba brothers since 1999.
