Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi has reacted to report he was detained at an airport in the United Kingdom.
Reacting to the viral speculation, Obi said that it was not true.
He made the revelation on Monday, May 1st, 2023 on Arise TV.
He said; “I was stopped for a routine immigration check in the UK because it appears that my identity was duplicated by someone.”
“I was never arrested. I was treated with due respect and walked through the VIP process. Everything lasted less than 20 minutes.”
It would be recall that Obi was said to had been detained for hours at Heathrow Airport, London by UK immigration officials.
