DG NTDC Sally Mbanefo
The popular saying ‘show me your friend and I will tell you who you are’ best describes the murky waters which the Director General of Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Sally Mbanefo has found herself in.
In fact, it is okay to say that she is a sinking ship right now. Having recently visited the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over an allege fraud, the lady is currently involved in another case of hiring a fake police officer as Special Adviser and Chief Security Officer (CSO).
The relationship between Kunle Adeshola and Mbanefo is such that the former is paid staggering figures for his services.
Adeshola, who was recently arraigned before an Abuja court on a seven count charge bordering on impersonation, forgery and obtaining under false pretence sometimes between May and October 2013, presented himself as a staff of the EFCC with identity card no. EFCC 073, there by committing an offence punishable by law.
Mbanefo, is a proverbial sinking ship and it is better she sinks alone before rubbishing the country’s emerging Tourism industry. Can President Goodluck Jonathan please do the needful.
