How Popular South African Rapper, AKA Was Killed
South African rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes popular as AKA is dead.
According to Durban Police, he was shot dead in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night, February 10, 2023.
Also killed in the drive-by shooting is a man believed to be AKA’s close friend, while the rapper’s bodyguard, was also wounded.
The incident reportedly occurred while AKA was standing outside the ‘Wish Restaurant’.
Two unknown cars are believed to have opened fire on the rapper. The shooting happened just before 10: pm the police revealed.
AKA who was born and raised in Cape Town, rose to fame after releasing his single “Victory Lap” off his debut studio album, “Altar Ego” in 2011.
He continued in his stride of success releasing studio albums such as “Levels” in 2014), “Touch My Blood ” 2018, “Bhovamania” in 2020 and the collaborative album, “Be Careful What You Wish For” alongside Anatii in 2017.
