Popular Yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi is dead.
Unconfirmed reports have it that Afolabi, 49, died in the early hours of today Sunday, May 14, after he slipped in his bathroom while taking a shower.
Confirming the death of the actor, popular producer and director, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, took to his Facebook to write; “REST IN PEACE…
“May God give the family and close associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
“Good night Muphy Afolabi.”
In another post, Ola-Yusuf said: “We lost a strong Filmmaker Muphy Afolabi. May God Rest your soul Bro.”
The actor who made his debut in the movie titled ‘Ifa Olokun’ under Dagunro’s guidance celebrated his 49th birthday on Friday, May 5.
Until his death, the actor was known for his intriguing roles in movies, especially occultic films.
Afolabi’s death comes days after the demise of popular Nollywood actor, Saint Obi.
