Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s protege, Dede Mabiaku, has revealed how the late legendry musician really died.
According to Dede who spoke in an interview, Fela died after being injected with a poisonous substance while in NDLEA custody.
Dede said that the Abami Eda confided in him and in his son Seun Kuti about how he was poisoned while in the NDLEA detention facility.
Dede said that it was after Fela was injected that his health began to deteriorat until his death.
He said that he was forced to speak up because no one has reveal the truth about what really led to Fela’s death.
