House Of Reps Member-elect, Ismail Maihanci Dies Weeks Before Swearing-in
Hon. Ismail Maihanci, member-elect of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing, Federal Constituency in Taraba State, has died.
The honourable’s death was disclosed by presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, on Twitter this morning April 22.
Posting via his handle, Bashir wrote
”Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un! Just received a sad news about the passing of our brother, Hon. Ismail Maihanci, a member-elect of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing, Federal Constituency in Taraba State. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah al-Firdaus.
Family sources say the politician who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) died in the early hours of Saturday, April 22, after a brief illness.
