At least 13 villagers have been kidnapped at Maijaki village in Birnin Maza/ Tashibo ward of Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.
The victims were kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Friday, October 21.
According to reports, the kidnappers went into Kpashimi Forest where they normally hide to perpetuate their evil act at any targeted community.
They reportedly shot one of the villagers during the kidnap operation.
According to Channels Television, tension is still high in the community following the attack, with residents calling for urgent security presence to ensure calm and stability in the area.
