Governor Ganduje Condemns Abuja-Kaduna Highway Killing

Kano State Governo, Abdullahi Ganduje has reacted to the killing of 16 passengers in a vehicle traveling along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

The travellers were killed along Abuja-Kaduna expressway by gunmen.

The travellers who had visited Abuja on a business trip were on their way back to Kano on Wednesday, December 9, when the attack occurred.

According to reports, the passengers were all men and are indigenes of Dambatta local government area of Kano state. The source disclosed that the bus conveying the victims was involved in an accident after the tire was shot by gunmen.

Ganduje in a statement issued through his spokesperson, Abba Anwar, commiserated with the families of the deceased. He also laid curses on the gunmen who caused the death of the travellers.

The governor said: “The news is devastating and frustrating. We commiserate with the families of the deceased, the people of Dambatta local government, and the people of Kano state.

“May Allah accept their martyrdom and may He punish all the perpetrators of this heinous act. There is nothing more shocking than this. We urge people to pray fervently for the reposed souls. And we pray that may Allah give their families the fortitude to bear the great loss.”
