Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, has gone from singing at churches to performing at political rallies.
On Tuesday, November 8, Mercy Chinwo serenaded thousands of Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) supporters at the flag-off of the party’s 2023 governorship campaigns in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Known for inviting comedians and secular entertainers to events of this nature, the PDP took a detour with Chinwo’s performance.
Wearing her popular signature beret, the gospel singer mounted the podium at exactly 01:12 pm and became the cynosure of all eyes, as she performed several of her hit songs both in her local dialect and pidgin English.
