Otunba Mike Adenuga’s Globacom has come under serious criticism following its launch of a nationwide mobile 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network.
Critics of the telecommunication company are wondering why it is launching a 4G LTE service when it is yet to solve major problems currently facing its network.
Tagged a National carrier, Globacom can be a national embarrassment on a bad day. The network provider which recently launched the service can be really erratic, as calls can be poor for days on, while data services is something else. Issues of connectivity to other network have also been another hallmark of the company.
Those who have been criticizing Glo have come to the conclusion that the 4G LTE service is another way for the company to maximize its profit at the expense of the common man. Often times, individuals buy data and can hardly use it.

Reacting to Glo’s LTE in the wake of the early subscriber rush, Bukky Adeniran revealed how she bought data for her Glo Bolt modem, but could hardy use it till it expires. According to the lady, a proper network provider should be able to advice it patrons on the quality of services for their location when they buy a particular package. However, with Globaom such is not the case and when you end up patronizing them their Customer Care Centre are hardly there to help you in your time of need.”

Akin Olulaja, had this to say about Glo’s Customer Care Centre “It is unfortunate that you will call the Customer Care Centre from when you pay for the service till it ends and yet you won’t get good hands to assist you. At the end of the day you would have wasted your money.”

Speaking further, he wondered why a company which is yet to fix its primary challenges will be launching new services likening it to a company which will maximize without care of dishing out quality service.
As if that is not bad enough, the telecommunication company has continued to mislead subscribers with the services that was launched, as it is tagged a nationwide network, while it is only obtainable in merely six of Nigeria’s 36 states.

One is forced to wonder if regulatory bodies cannot call Globalcom to order instead of allowing it to deceive and mislead Nigerian into spending their hard earned money on services which they won’t enjoy eventually especially in a period of recession as we are presently experiencing.
