Feelers reaching www.theoctopusnews.com indicates that the duo of Senator Gbemi Saraki and billionaire businesswoman, Hajia Bola Shagaya, are in a cold war.
The reason for the grouse between the women has been traced to efforts by Hajia Shagaya to ensure that her first son, Sheriff, wins a seat to the House of Representatives in 2015.
The talk in town is that Hajia Shagaya does not plan to settle down even when her son gets to the House of Representatives, as her ultimate plan in the nearest future is to see him emerge as governor of Kwara state in 2019.
The plans are however said to have been interpreted by Senator Saraki as an attempt to hijack Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) political structure. Senator Saraki, who is quite familiar with the political structure of the state is said to be set to frustrate Hajia Shagaya’s plan.
However, the businesswoman is also banking on Sherrif’s marriage to Maryam, the daughter of Alhaji Bamangar Tukur, the former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, to ensure her son gets to where she has planned for him.
This tussle for who leads Kwara PDP machinery is said to have seen the women in a cold war which only time will tell who wins.
