Forgotten Like A Bad Habit: Dumebi Kachikwu Falls Into Oblivion

In his favoured days, billionaire Dumebi Kachikwu, the younger brother of Minister of Petroleum Resources Ibe Kachikwu was a shining star.

Though allegedly involved in some controversies, including the allegation of playing a fast one on Larry B, from whom he allegedly ordered a 2012 Porsche Cayenne for his in-law Naeto C, but later refused to pay up and being involved in a N750m scam involving Ndudi Elumelu,  among others, Dumebi still held his own.

However, for how long? This is the question that many are asking presently, as the saying that a good name supersedes anything seems to have taken credence in this case.

Since the chains of negative tales about the man, he seems to have simply gone into oblivion.

Since tales of his being held by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over a N750m deal became public notice the man has simply gone underground.

Talks of his being called to order by his brother following his use of the latter’s name to cut deals in the oil sector has been speculated. However, nothing concrete can be said of Dumebi’s disappearance.

The unfortunate thing however is that even his friends seem not to know his latest moves. It appears that both friends and families have deserted Dumebi.
