Femi Kuti
Femi Kuti has opened up on why he will shun the forth-coming Grammy Award.
Speaking in a chat with www.theoctopusnews.com, he said “the logistics of travelling from Nigeria to America for the award would cost him a minimum of $5,000,00, and since his elder sister Yeni Kuti was already in America there was no need to travel there, as she could represent him.”
Kuti, also said that the only challenges his sister would have is the fact that she would stay another four days before returning from her trip. The artiste, revealed that with his sister representing him it is simply the act of using one stone to kill two birds.
Yeni Kuti, had originally travelled to America to be part of the launch of a documentary on Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
