Mixed Reactions Trail May D's N150m house

It has been argued that celebrities live make-believe lifestyles.
Oftentimes, their fans are forced to believe them when the fallacy is still reasonable.
However, when it becomes extra-ordinary, speculation and eventually jeers trails such actions and the artiste involved, as fans often take to the social media to express their disgust.
This was the case with artiste, May D, when the story broke out that he had bought a house estimated at N150million.
According to a statement allegedly released by the artiste, the building is a new six-bedroom duplex in Magodo Phase II, GRA, Lagos State. In a entertainment show on Saturday, September 21, in Ikeja, the artiste became the topic of discussion among some his fans.
While some of them described May D’s achievement as a good development, others greeted it with disdain.
Their argument was that May D was sacked by Square Records on August 21, 2012, and since his departure from the label, which gave him massive exposure, his works from his Chapter One debut album, which has songs such as ‘Your Eyes,’ ‘Django,’ and ‘Way You Whine,’ released under his outfit, Confam Entertainment, have been below per.
The argument went further with comments that he barely performs at major shows, and it eventually settled on the premise that if he is not an A-list artiste, he doesn’t have any endorsement and his means of livelihood remains music, it was then not possible for him to have generated such an amount to afford the property.
The picture of May D’s N150million property is an eyesore compared to the property bought at the same rate by 2face from the Tayo Sonuga Haven Homes.
