With just days to the Saturday, March 9, gubernatorial elections, two of Accord Partys’ front runners in Lagos State are set to defect to the ruling All Progressive Party (APC).

www.theoctopusnews.com can report authoritatively that Jubril Abdulkareem, who is contesting the Lagos House of Assembly election with  Mudashiru Obasa, and House Of Representative flag bearer in the 2019 election Honourable Ayinde Babatunde Oladipupo popular as Janja Bature, are set to change alliance.

Sources close to www.theoctopusnews.com revealed that Abdulkareem who is a former Chairman of Agege Local Government and Oladipupo who contested the House Of Representative election had a meeting with the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa where the modalities for their defection to APC was discoursed.

Our source revealed that the meeting took place inside the Constituency Office of Obasa hours ago. The defection which will definitely be a major setback for AP considered one of the serious contenders of APC in Agege Local Government is expected to be announced anytime from now.

In the past, Abdulkareem had been quoted saying that Obasa was after his life due to the fact that he was a political threat to him.
