Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), a subsidiary of Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO), has been recognized as the “Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)” in Nigeria by Euromoney.

GTBank, one of Africa’s largest financial services institutions, was honored at the prestigious “Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2024”. The award highlights the extensive and impactful CSR initiatives undertaken by GTCO across various sectors, including education, healthcare, community development, and financial inclusion.

Responding to the accolade, Segun Agbaje, Group CEO of Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc, expressed pride in the recognition, stating:

“As a proudly African institution, we understand that our success is closely tied to the well-being of the communities we serve. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is based on the belief that businesses must be a force for good, driving sustainable progress and fostering inclusive growth. Over the years, we have launched several free business platforms and supported impactful social causes that have positively impacted millions of people and businesses across Africa. This award from Euromoney reaffirms the far-reaching impact of our initiatives and strengthens our commitment to creating lasting value and ensuring better outcomes for all.”

Guaranty Trust has consistently demonstrated leadership in innovation and service excellence, alongside a deep commitment to making a positive social impact. Central to its CSR efforts are consumer-focused initiatives like the “GTCO Food and Drink Festival” and the “GTCO Fashion Weekend”, which provide free platforms for budding and established entrepreneurs to showcase their talents, share their stories, and connect with wider audiences.

Another key initiative, the “Annual GTCO Autism Programme”, part of the Orange Ribbon Initiative, continues to offer support for individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
