A nine-man judicial panel established by the Lagos State Government to investigate the October 2020 Lekki Tollgate massacre appears to have handed in its reports.
The panel declared the toll gate safe to be reopened, as it handed over control to Lekki Concession Company.
The judicial panel returned the control of the tollgate to the Lekki Concession Company, the operators, on Saturday, February 6.
Recall that the LCC had earlier asked the panel to allow it to take over the plaza for repair and insurance claims since December 2020.
The tollgate might just reopen without a clear cut explanation of the real circumstance that led to the death of several peacefully protesting youths.
