The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), has reacted to the health condition of its Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
Bawa had slumped during a program at the presidential villa, Abuja on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
He slumped while delivering a goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration where he suddenly stopped talking and asked to be excused.
Reacting to the development in a statement titled ‘Bawa is Hale and Hearty,’ the agency said that its Chairman had received medical attention after he slumped and is now hale and hearty.
The statement issued and signed by EFCC Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, on Thursday in Abuja also said that Bawa is expected back at his desk.
Uwujaren said, “The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty. This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk.”
