EFCC: FG Allegedly Suspends 12 Directors

At least 12  directors of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have been reportedly suspend by the Federal Government.

The suspension follows that of the Acting Chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Magu, presently being investigated for alleged fraud.

According to reports, the notice of suspension for the directors was communicated to the Acting Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Mohammed Umar, by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation on Tuesday, July 14.

Magu is being investigated by the Presidential Committee on Audit of Recovered Assets (PCARA).

It is alleged that the commission under Magu re-looted interests on the funds recovered from looters, while hecan not account for some of the recovered  properties.
