Victory in a legal matter at the Supreme Court should elicit a celebration of sort.
However, the saying that there are exceptions to every rule is a popular one.
One of such exceptions is the recent victory of Donald Duke at the Supreme Court.
Having emerged the Presidential candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Duke’s appearance was challenged in the court by Prof. Jerry Gana who contested the primaries with Duke.
With Prof. Gana named the party’s candidate by the High Court, Duke sought redress in an Appeal Court where his emergence as the party’s candidate was upheld.
The Appeal Court’s judgment recently affirmed by the Supreme Court, has however not been greeted with celebration by Duke, as the man appears to prefer a quiet celebration.
