Deserted Streets Dominate Anambra Ahead Of Gubernatorial Election

There are speculations about the possibility of the Anambra State gubernatorial election holding on Saturday, November 6.
This is as streets in Awka, Anambra State capital are currently deserted despite the decision of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to lift its sit-at-home order.
Recall that the proscribed group had earlier announced plans to call for a sit-at-home order to protest the continued incarceration of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
However, on Thursday, November 4, the group announced its decision to halt the order.
Despite the suspension of the order, residents of the state decided to remain indoors today. All public and private enterprises remained under lock and key this morning.
