Defection: Femi Fani-Kayode Distance Self From Bello’s Statement

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayde, has reacted to a statement in which Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello said that he had defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Reacting to the statement, the politician dismissed the comment by Bello. In his reaction via his verified Twitter handle @realFFK on Wednesday, February 10, Fani-Kayode denied defecting from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the tweet, Fani-Kayode stated that he has not left the PDP. While dismissing the claim that he had joined the APC, the outspoken ex-minister admitted to meeting with leaders of the ruling party in the season of political consultation.
The former minister’s statement is coming hours after Bello officially confirmed that he had defected to the APC in a trending video.
The Kogi state governor who made the comment after he revalidated his APC membership in his country home said the former minister joined the ruling party in good faith.
