Defection: Ebonyi National Assembly Caucus Dumps Governor Umahi

The Ebonyi State caucus of the National Assembly has stated that it will not be defecting to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) with the state governor, David Umahi.
The caucus which consists of five House of Representatives members and three senators revealed this after they met recently.
The caucus members elected on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), vowed not to follow Governor Umahi to his new home in the ruling APC.
Sam Egwu said that the lawmakers remain proud card-carrying members of the PDP, the platform on which we were elected.
Further, he said Governor Umahi, instead of defecting from the PDP, should be grateful to the party because it was the party that gave him all the opportunities he is enjoying in Nigeria’s political landscape today.
