Davido, Tiwa Savage Makes Nomination List Of MTV EMAs***See Full List

Two of Nigeria’s leading artistes have been nominated in the 2018 MTV EMAs.

Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) boss David Adeleke also known as Davido and Mavin Records First Lady, Tiwa Savage made the cut this year.

Other artistes from Africa are Distruction Boyz (South Africa) Nyanshinski (Kenya) Fally Pupa (DRC) and Shekhinah (South Africa).

The event proper will hold at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, Barakaldo, Biscay on Sunday, 4th of November at 9:00 pm CAT. Global live broadcast streaming of the show will also be avialble.

Leading the nomination is Cuban-American singer, Camila Cabello with six nominations including “Best Video” and “Best Song” for her hit single, Havana featuring Young Thug. She was also nominated for Best Artist alongside other international artists such as Ariana Grande and Post Malone who were right behind with five MTV EMAs nominations.

In 2017, Davido won the “MTV” EMAs for the categories “Best African Act” and “Best Worldwide Act”.

Vice President for Youth, Music and BET,Monde Twala describes the 2018 edition of the award thus:

“2018 has been an incredible year globally for African culture, music and talent.”

“Once again, the 2018 MTV EMAs features Africa’s most celebrated entertainers who have the opportunity to showcase their talent through the MTV EMA Best Africa Act category at the annual awards.

Speaking on how artistes have been selected, the Vice President said;

“Our nominees reflect the continent’s diversity and talent on par with international artists. Congratulations to all our Africa nominees, who continue to affirm Africa’s place on the global stage.”
