Chris Uba’s daughter’s white wedding holds

The white wedding of Nonye Uba, daughter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) member, Chief Chris Uba, took place on Saturday, October 12, at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.

Nonye married Ayim (Jnr), an Abuja-based businessman from Akaeze village in Ebonyi State. Ayim (Jnr) is also the fourth child of Senator Ayim Udeh.

The event had only those who matter in the society in attendance. Prior to the white wedding, the couple celebrated their traditional wine carrying ceremony at Umuoru village in Uga Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, on June 29.

The ceremony, which attracted the who-is-who in Anambra and Ebonyi states, had in attendance Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Chief Victor Umeh, Governors of Anambra and Abia states Peter Obi and Theodore Orji respectively, and their Kano State counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso. Others were Senators Ayogu Eze, Bello Tukur, Kabir Marafa, Garuba Gamawa, Nenadi Usman, Aisha Al-Hassan, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha; former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Major-Gen. Ike Nwachukwu, and former Governor of old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo.

Also in attendance were former Minister of Aviation, Ambassador Kema Chikwe; the Corp Marshal of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Chief Osita Chidioka; former Inspector-General of Police, Ogbonnaya Onovo; Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Joy Emodi; her Technical Matters counterpart, Chief Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo.

Entertainment was provided by Chief Morroco Maduka and his band as well as Flavour.
