Dr. Chris Okafor
The newly launched Chris Okafor Foundation has put smiles on the faces of about 50 people including men and women trained in various fields of endeavours.
The men and women, were empowered with cash to begin their own work and be self reliant, courtesy Dr chris Okafor. The church, also gave widows food items to fulfil his mandate of putting smiles on the faces of the less privilege.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the training which lasted a week, the oracle of God said one of the responsibility of the church is not only to delivered people or win their soul for Christ, but also to empowered them with skill and cash so they can be independent.
The man of God, challenged all the graduates to make sure that the purpose of the training is not jeopardised, he pray for them to be successful and also call on other body of Christ to emulates the gesture of the church as this will reduce the rate of unemployment In the country.
Some of the graduates who spoke at the graduation ceremony thanked Chris Okafor Foundation for its wisdom of putting smile on their faces.
Other high point of the event include giving 100 widows food items as part of the church monthly widow empowerment.
In a chat with www.theoctopusnews.com, the senior pastor of Liberation City Dr Chris Okafor said “the move is one of his own modest way of contributing to the development of the country, he said widows are God’s property and they must be carter for and that is why they were given bags of rice and other cooking material and cash.”
