Former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 72nd birthday.
Buhari’s congratulatory message was delivered to President Tinubu in a phone conversation on Friday, March 29.
According to a statement published by Garba Shehu via his X handle, the former president personally passed on his best wishes for a happy 72nd birthday to the President.
Shehu also noted that Buhari also assured Tinubu of his commitment to a successful All Progress Congress (APC) administration, adding that he stands by him.
This comes after a public statement in which Buhari stated that he stands with President Tinubu.
The statement by Shehu also said that Buhari prayed profusely for Tinubu’s success, saying that praying for a leader is imperative as his success and well-being are for the nation (everyone), adding that the accomplishments of the new administration must be seen as national achievements.
