President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerian youths to stop the destruction of public properties, describing it as unnecessary.
The President stated this in his highly anticipated nation broadcast delivered at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 22.
Speaking during the broadcast, the President highlighted the fact that both public and private properties had been destroyed, calling for a stop to the destruction and looting.
He also spoke on the those who had lost their lives in the line of duty. However, President Buhari failed to speak on compensation for those killed in the Lekki massacre neither did he speak on punishment for those behind the killings.
Recall that soldiers deployed to the Lekki Toll Gate had been alleged of killing unarmed peaceful protesters protesting against bad government in the country.
Since then, hoodlums have been on rampage destroying public and private properties.
