Prior to the death of the Igbo warlord, the Eze Ndigbo gburgburu and Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, his fair-complexioned and beautiful wife, Bianca, who today, is the ambassador of Nigeria to Spain, had little or no business with politics.
However, since the demise of her husband, she has not only metamorphosed into a national figure but she has also become an active member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), which was built on her husband’s philosophies and which he led while he was alive.
So powerful is the woman in Anambra State now that her face-off with APGA leader, Chief Victor Umeh, has left the political party in some sort standstill for some time now.
Not even a recent effort by Ralph Nwazurike to reconcile the two yielded the desired result, as the move hit a brickwall with Bianca saying she would neither welcome Umeh to her house nor settle her differences with him until he stops leading like a dictator.
As it is presently, leaders of the party in the state are said to be striving to ensure that Bianca’s differences with Umeh are settled. This is because of their belief that if she does not give her blessing to Umeh, the man might face challenges from loyalists of her late husband.
There is no doubt that Bianca is now the iron lady of APGA.
