AY, Gbenga Adeyinka Commends Maltina For Easter Shows

After a successful hosting of the first leg of their shows which thrilled Nigerians on Easter Sunday in Lagos and Ibadan respectively, ace comedians Ayodeji Makun (AY) and Gbenga Adeyinka 1st have commended Maltina – the premium malt drink from the stable of Nigerian Breweries Plc – for providing the financial muscle that brought their shows to live. Maltina, under a new platform, Laugh Out Loud (LOL) provided the sponsorship for both shows.

An elated AY expressed appreciation for the sponsorship by Maltina which culminated in a bigger and better comedy show. “The AY Show has been received warmly by Lagosians as was evident with the huge turn out during the Easter show. I had laboured frantically behind the scene to make previous editions successful. However, with Maltina L.O.L coming to my rescue, we were able to give our fans nothing but a good outing. I prayed and waited for this opportunity because we have not had corporate sponsors in the past. The AY Live can only get better with Maltina in the mix.”

On the other hand, Gbenga Adeyinka 1st who hosted a successful
Laffmatazz show in Ibadan which was equally well attended, recalling that he promised his fans in the South West to expect exciting moments with Laffmatazz, the ace comedian said: “It was my desire to take comedy to uncharted courses in the South West of Nigeria, this I was able to achieve with the support of Nigeria’s number one malt drink, Maltina. This year’s show was awesome as 32 artistes rocked the stage in Ibadan. I am pleased with the collaboration of MaltinaLaugh.Out.Loud.”

The show’s glitz and glamour attracted people to the venues as they came in various colours that depict happiness and fun. It was also a time for bonding and connection as friends, families and celebrities interacted and shared happy moments together.

The Maltina Lounge was a beehive of activities as the“happiness wall”became the centre of attraction where guests were offered pens to express there true meaning of happiness. Equally,there were booths where cash was won and redeemed instantly. A specially built entertainment couch where interviews were conducted was also part of the lounge.

Some of the guest left the venues with new tablets and other exciting gifts courtesy of the brand noted for “sharing happiness”.

One of the winners, Mrs Ngozi Nwosu who was excited with the happiness booth, applauded Maltina for connecting with consumers at various touch points, and in this case“where they have come to relax and share a good time with family and friends. I came here with limited cash now I am richer than when I came.”

The Senior Brand Manager Maltina, Adewole Adedeji said both shows AYLive and Gbenga Adeyinka’ Laffmatazz– have confirmed their true positions as the biggest gathering that provides bonding and happiness for everyone. He added that the brand is known for sharing happiness and providing platforms to continuously express this.

The media briefing which was held in Lagos a few weeks ago, offered both comedians the opportunity to reinstate their pedigree in the Nigerian entertainment industry, where
they maintained that Maltina LOL would heighten the relevance of their shows.

Various musicians and comedian rocked the stage in Lagos and Ibadan, they include Ursbebe, AY, Gbenga Adeyinka, I Go Die, Gordons, Elenu, Apkororo, Helen Paul, Funny Bone, Osama, Pencil, Ajebo, Shina Peters, Tiwa Savage, Kcee, Davido, J. Martins, Oritshe Femi, Ali Baba, Tu Face Idibia, Julius Agwu, 9ice, M.I, Laffup and others.

Sinzu Announces Plan To Drop Five Years Old Song

Nigerian rapper, Sinzu, is continuing his comeback to the music scene.

Following the release of his last body of work titled ‘Better Late Than Never’, he has maintained presence both on social media and the music scene.

He recently announced plans to drop a new single which was recorded in 2015.

In a tweet, Sinzu said: “I did a song in like 2015 that I haven’t dropped. I’m going to drop it now.”

Questions about Sinzu making it to the top of the Nigerian music industry have been asked.

The rapper left the industry in 2015 but has been trying to return since his release from jail over a credit card and identity fraud.

Breach Of Contract: Davido Supports Mayorkun

Davido Music Worldwide boss, David Adeleke popular as Davido has taken side with his artiste Mayorkun over an allegation of breach of contract.

Mayorkun had been booked to perform at a valentine show in Warri, Delta State, but failed to appear.

The musician’s action left a lot of his fans disappointed with organisers of the show infuriated.

When one of the organisers of the show took to Twitter to threaten the singer for not turning up at the show, asking that he makes a refund, he got a snide remark from Davido.

Absent of a body of work for five years, Wande Coal’s return to the music scene is inching closer.

The artiste, who is known for hit songs such as ‘Baby Hello’, ‘Bumper To Bumper’, ‘Ololufe’ and others will make a big return in weeks via an EP ‘Realms’.

Realms will be Wande Coal’s debut under Screwface’s Starstruck Management and indie distributor, Empire.
