The Arewa Youth Federation (AYF), has called for the arrest of the duo of Senator Shehu Sani and Yinka Odumakin.
The call was made by the president of the group Adamu Kabir Matazu in Abuja while reacting to the arrest of Omoyele Sowore, convener of the RevolutionNow protest.
According to Matazu, the AYF is calling for an investigation into some persons believed to be behind Sowore’s call for revolution.
Matazu said: “We commend the Department of State Services (DSS) for their prompt arrest and detention of Omoyele Sowore and we call on the DSS to investigate his connection with Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB and their known collaborators in Nigeria, the likes of Senator Shehu Sani and Yinka Odumakin should immediately be arrested for questioning because we suspect they were hired to destabilize our country by some foreign interests or some faceless politicians who lost out in the last general election.”
The AYF also warned youths supporting Sowore to desist from doing so and not allow themselves be used by people who no longer have stake in Nigeria, adding that activism is not madness.
