Ebonyi State Governor, Engineer Dave Umahi, has been officially welcomed to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Umahi was welcomed to the party, with a declaration that the state is now connected to the center.
In a tweet on Tuesday, November 17, the APC said the governor has returned home.
Recall that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recently summoned an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting when rumours of Umahi leaving for APC thickened.
The meeting has been slated for Thursday, November 19 at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.
Also, the Board of Trustees (BoT), the highest advisory organ of the party, is expected to meet on Wednesday, November 18 at the same venue on the matter.
Umahi seems to have taken the decision to join the ruling party even before the top PDP officials met on the issue.
