Akosile said the recruitment of about 2,000 teachers for public primary and secondary schools would go a long way in enhancing the impact of the government in education in the state.
He said: “While commending the efforts of Dr. Kayode Fayemi for the wonderful strides as indicated, we still want to remind him of the areas that will further allow for effective administration and better the lots of the people. The administration’s desire to pay the minimum wage of N30,000 to the public servants in the state is of great value. We commend him for making appointments based on merit and fair play.
“The restoration of the payment on monthly stipends of N5,000 for the elderly as a means of eradicating poverty is valuable. There is the need for continuation of the five kilometer road per each local government throughout the state and the need to address the condition of the intra roads linking other states roads of the federation.”
The forum called on the Minister of Trade and Industry, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, to identify some industries based in the state for the Federal Government’s attention. The statement said: “Otunba Adebayo should help locate some industries based on the various raw materials available in the state.
