Anti-corruption War: FG Reveals List Of Forfeited Assets To Be Sold

The federal government has released a listed of forfeited assets it is set to sell.

The assets are located in 25 locations across the country.

The inter-ministerial committee on the disposal of assets forfeited to the federal government made the disclosure on Tuesday, February 2.

Dayo Apata, chairman of the committee, stated that assets recovery and disposal process were part of the administration of criminal justice.

Some of the properties prepared for sale included those recovered from Diezani Alison-Madueke, former Minister of Petroleum Resources, and Alex Badeh, a former Chief of Defence Staff among others.

Apata said the committee had embarked on onsite verification/auditing of the forfeited assets to confirm their existence and to ascertain their current state. He disclosed that the assets to be sold included:

1. Landed properties

2. Plants

3. Machinery

4. Motor vehicles

5. Electronics furniture and equipment

6. Water vessels

7. Jewelry, ornaments, as well as clothing materials.

He said the committee is working towards completing its assignment within six months as spelt out in the presidential directive.
