Another First For Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala?

Life has been good to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance.
An autobiography of the woman would detail several successes, as she has recorded many in her lifetime.
Okonjo-Iweala’s success story didn’t start suddenly, as her exploits at the World Bank where she spent 25 years as a Development Economist rising to the post of Managing Director, Operations remains legendary.
Asides from these laudable achievements, the woman has recorded many other firsts with her proverbial cap almost full of feathers.
Recently tipped to emerge the first female Director-General of the World Trade Oganisation (WTO), until the US pull out of a consensus arrangement, Okonjo-Iweala will also make history as the first African to emerge DG of WTO if America falls in line or if she wins the election.
The General Counsel of the WTO will now announce the new Director-General in a meeting which is scheduled for Monday, November 9.
