The State Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has suspended the executives for Gwadabawa ward of the party.

This follows the suspension of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

The disclosure was made by Dr. Raymond Chidama, Secretary of the APC in the state, while addressing newsmen on Saturday, March 25.

He said the sanctions on the errant party officials were the fallout of the recommendations of the resolutions of Yola North Executive Committee tasked by SWC to investigate and recommend appropriate sanctions over the unconstitutional conduct of the Gwadabawa ward EXCO.

Chidama added that the indefinite suspension of the ward officials was made with other far-reaching sanctions that includes the removal of all the ward officials from holding their positions with immediate effect.

He said;

”The State working committee Committee therefore viewed the activities of these miscreants as an embarrassment to the National Chairman, Mr. President and the party. The state working Committee therefore approved the removal from office of all exco members of Gwadabawa ward with immediate effect. Indefinite suspension of all Exco members of Gwadabawa ward from the party and constitution of a seven-man caretaker committee as recommended by Yola North Local Government Executive Committee with immediate effect.”

The Exco members of Gwadabawa ward have been asked to handover all the party properties in their possession to the chairman of Yola North local Government Area immediately.
