There is no denying the fact that age is no longer on the side of Abah Folawiyo.

Unlike in the past when she still struggles to surface at selected events and parties, these days nothing of such is heard of as the woman appears to have simply taken a back seat after a good run.

At 80 years, the once-famous designer with the label tag ‘Labanella’ has had nothing but the best life can offer.

As a young woman, who had relocated to Nigeria from Ghana, Sisi Abah as she is fondly called by some of her friends got involved with Segun Awolowo, the lawyer son of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and gave birth to a son, Segun Awolowo Jnr. The senior Awolowo passed on in an accident in 1963 before the arrival of his child.

She was also famous for her life with then Senior Evangelist Lagun Adesanya, a popular socialite whose name hardly left the lips of Nigerian musician back then. The duo got married in the 70s.

At an older age, specifically in the 90s the honourary Patron of Fashion Design Association of Nigeria (FDAN), became the wife of Alhaji Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo, then the Baba Adini of Yorubaland, enjoying all the good things of life, as she basically got all she had ever desired.

At 80, there is no denying the fact that it is time for Sisi Abah to take a back seat and admire her good run as a socialite.
