Singer, Portable Meets Bail Conditions, Regains Freedom

Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has regained his freedom from Ilaro Correctional Centre after meeting his bail conditions.
Portable was released at about 6:pm this evening after his bail bond was presented at the Ilaro Correctional Center where the judge asked he is kept until his bail conditions are fulfilled.
The singer was arraigned earlier today before the Ijo Magistrate court on three counts bordering on assault and theft of musical instruments.
Delivering his ruling on the bail application made by his counsel, the presiding magistrate admitted the singer to bail on N300,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
In the other case, which bothered on assault, the court granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
The court also ordered that the singer be remanded in the Ilaro Correctional Center until he fulfills his bail condition.
The case was however adjourned till the 26th of April for the commencement of trial.
