Portable Denies Knowing Men Who Came To Arrest Him Were Police Officers

Singer, Portable has stated he never knew the men who stormed his bar in Ota, Ogun State to effect his arrest were police officers.

Recall that on Tuesday, March 28, Portable had in a viral video on Instagram Live stated that some men numbering over 20 came to arrest him.

According to him, the men had no arrest warrant and could not present identification cards to justify the fact that they were police officers.

He also added that he worked for the government, the All Progressive Congress (APC), and could not be arrested.

In a swift reaction, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command said that his men stormed Portable’s bar to arrest him after he refused to honour four invitations for interrogation following a petition written against him.

In a video following his arrest by officers of the Ogun State Police Command on Friday, March 31, Portable who was seen responding to questions thrown at him by police officers denied knowing that the men who came to his bar were security operatives.
