Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi Officially Steps Into Spotlight

Typical of the wife of any prominent monarch, after the traditional marriage rites comes an unveiling to the world.
Thus, Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi, the Queen of the Arole Oduduwa and Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, was recently unveiled to the world at large.
Indeed the new Olori was the center of attraction when she was welcomed into the palace in Ife, Osun State, after her marriage to the youthful monarch was made public.
However, her welcome ceremony was a low-key affair, unlike those of the other Oloris who eventually left the palace.
While her low-key welcome ceremony might have been somewhat demeaning for a woman of her caliber, Olori Ogunwusi was, however, unveiled to a larger crowd when she stepped out with her husband for his National Honours Award investiture as Commander of The Federal Republic.
At the event which took place at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja, asides enjoying the encomium from her husband being celebrated, the new Olori also got the pleasure of being introduced to notable Nigerians including the Senate President; Ahmed Lawan, Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The woman beamed with smiles as President Muhammadu Buhari decorated her husband describing him as a great advocate of Youth and Women Empowerment, a passionate Promoter of Peace and Unity in Africa and an exemplary selfless leader relentlessly doing his best preserving the cultural values of the African people.
