Olori Sekinat Elegushi Reaffirms Love For Ikate Women

The news of a queen of Ikateland in the north unsettled Olori Sekinat Elegushi for a while.
During this period, her work via her foundation Quality and Selfless Empowerment Foundation (QSE), took a nosedive, as she had to settle down to the reality of what had hit her.
The beauty has since bounced back to reckoning, as she recently organised a special breast cancer screening event for women residents in and around Ikate kingdom, Lekki, Lagos State.
The event which was in partnership with One Woman, the outreach arm of Sterling Bank saw the soft-spoken woman educating women on the need to occasionally check their breast for lumps and immediately seek medical assistance when such is spotted.
During the event, women were availed the opportunity to have free breast cancer screening, while awareness about breast cancer among women was created with Olori Elegushi assuring that her foundation would take it up to the highest level if there is any detection.
“Breast cancer claims numerous lives annually, as it happens to be the most common type of cancer in women across different races and ethnicity.
“October is a month that has been set aside to create sustained awareness on cancer and cancer-related ailments, hence this event,” Olori Elegushi stated.
