Live From Ghana: Music Legend, Yvonne Chaka Chaka Reveals Key Yo Music Success

South African music legend, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, has revealed the secret to her success as a musician.
Chaka Chaka, a panelist in the Africa Music Business Summit, a programme from the ongoing 2018 All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA), holding in Ghana revealed that she succeeded as a musician because she did her music her own way.
The woman who started singing at the age of 19 stated that originality is key to music success advising young artistes to be what they are and do their music their way.
Insisting that if an artiste is talented he or she would excel, Chaka Chaka who has done music for 33 years said “I respect my culture and I love my music. I am here today because I did it my way.”
Calling on artistes managers to change their modus operandi, she advised them to stop asking for favours from artistes, stating that they should manage their act as they should, insisting that managers have no right to collect more money than artistes.
Holding at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra, Ghana, the Africa Music Business Summit tagged “Africa Music In A Global Village: Leveraging The Opportunities”, has indeed being educating with questions relating to music business exhaustively discussed.
The event which had top music moguls from around the world and representatives from African Union (AU), is part of events for the four days event.
