Ibrahim Magu Is In Unfamiliar Terrain

There is no disputing the fact that Ibrahim Magu, acting Chairman of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has a big hurdle ahead of him.
The hurdle is his inability to scale screening by the Bukola Saraki-led Senate.
Prior to his attempt at confirmation as the substantive Chairman of the EFCC, Magu was a fresh prince. The mention of his name brought fear to both businessmen and politicians with cockroaches in their cupboard. Basically, he didn’t answer to anybody, as he was the boss of the bosses by virtue of his position.
However, with the stand of the Senate, Magu has found himself in unfamiliar grounds, as the controversies about his ability to scale his new challenge rages on.
