Veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle has stated that he can’t be defined by anyone, not even his ex-wife, Ireti.
Doyle stated this in a recent interview on “Duke Rants”, where he spoke about fame, legacy and the continuous use of his name by his ex-wife, Ireti.
He also addressed the use of his surname by his ex-wife after their divorce, suggested that it might be due to his fame.
“I have been popular since I was 16. I debated against Yemi Osinbajo,” he said. “Why did the person revert to Doyle after the separation? Who is responsible for making whom popular?”
“I can never be defined by her. My body of work is too solid to be defined by anyone,” he added.
Doyle who remarried in 2022 and made it public in March 2023, maintains that he has no bad blood toward Ireti, describing her as a “first-class mother.”
The former couple, who share five children, tied the knot in 2004 and officially divorced in 2023.
