2Face Idibia, Jimmy Jatt, Gbenga Adeyinka, Others Become NEIHIS Ambassadors

The organisers of the Nigerian Entertainment Industry Health Insurance Scheme (NEIHIS) are making frantic efforts towards the scheme’s successful kick off and the institutionalization of the Nigerian Entertainment Industry Health Trust Fund (NEIHTF). Part of these efforts is the appointment of Goodwill ambassador s that will be unveiled to the public in phases.

In the last one week, the ambassadors who have identified with, and also undergoing enrolment procedures to NEIHIS have been involved in the shooting of Public Service Announcements (PSA) for the scheme. The PSAs are meant to feature prominently on partner television and radio stations with a view to educating practitioners about the scheme and encourage mass enrollment.

The first four goodwill ambassadors that have featured in the entertainment industry health insurance scheme PSAs are; legendary musician- 2Face Idibia, Veteran DJ Jimmy Jatt, Immensely talented actor-Yemi Solade and indefatigable comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka. These great entertainment personalities have made themselves available to join NEIHIS in the institutionalization of the scheme and finally put an end to avoidable deaths and other health challenges enveloping the entertainment industry. Other sets of goodwill ambassadors will be unveiled in phases in the month of February.

The goodwill ambassadors spoke highly of the scheme and described it as a deliberate attempt to safeguard the lives of the practitioners of the entertainment industry and restore the industry’s credibility as this will put an end to public begging and avoidable deaths. 2Face Idibia described it as a lifesaving initiative and selfless sacrifice for the glory of the industry. DJ Jimmy Jatt and Gbenga Adeyinka who have been part of the process from the beginning expressed their profound joy that the scheme is finally kicking off while Yemi Solade expressed his intense believe that begging for alms when chips are down will no longer be tolerated as the scheme is meant to eradicate all of that.

Now that the scheme is finally ready, the organizers plan to issue a public statement soon and make available to the entertainment and media industry the plans under the scheme, the numerous benefits and how they can be accessed via enrollment. Some of the other top celebrities who have agreed to be goodwill ambassadors to the scheme are currently shooting Public Service Announcements for the scheme.

The Nigerian Entertainment Industry Health Insurance Scheme (NEIHIS) is a private health insurance scheme with customized plans specifically for the entertainment industry. It is an initiative of Nigerian Entertainment Industry Lecture Series (NEILS) in partnership with National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Sinzu Announces Plan To Drop Five Years Old Song

Nigerian rapper, Sinzu, is continuing his comeback to the music scene.

Following the release of his last body of work titled ‘Better Late Than Never’, he has maintained presence both on social media and the music scene.

He recently announced plans to drop a new single which was recorded in 2015.

In a tweet, Sinzu said: “I did a song in like 2015 that I haven’t dropped. I’m going to drop it now.”

Questions about Sinzu making it to the top of the Nigerian music industry have been asked.

The rapper left the industry in 2015 but has been trying to return since his release from jail over a credit card and identity fraud.

Breach Of Contract: Davido Supports Mayorkun

Davido Music Worldwide boss, David Adeleke popular as Davido has taken side with his artiste Mayorkun over an allegation of breach of contract.

Mayorkun had been booked to perform at a valentine show in Warri, Delta State, but failed to appear.

The musician’s action left a lot of his fans disappointed with organisers of the show infuriated.

When one of the organisers of the show took to Twitter to threaten the singer for not turning up at the show, asking that he makes a refund, he got a snide remark from Davido.

Mayorkun is presently one of the leading artistes on DMW and has been on a consistent rise in his music career for some time releasing single after single and selling out concerts. Aside from that, he shares a fond relationship with Davido

Absent of a body of work for five years, Wande Coal’s return to the music scene is inching closer.

The artiste, who is known for hit songs such as ‘Baby Hello’, ‘Bumper To Bumper’, ‘Ololufe’ and others will make a big return in weeks via an EP ‘Realms’.

Realms will be Wande Coal’s debut under Screwface’s Starstruck Management and indie distributor, Empire.
