Erstwhile President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has spoken on his speculated return to politic.

Reacting to the speculation, Jonathan maintained that it is too early in the day to start discussing the 2023 elections.

Jonathan is known for giving the reply  whenever he is asked if he has any plan to contest in the next presidential election.

The growing rapport between Jonathan and some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is also said to be causing anxiety in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

PDP members are replrtedly uncomfortable with the frequency of ex-president’s visits to the presidential villa in recent times.

They said the party was puzzled that when the last of such visits occurred on December 15, 2020, neither Jonathan nor the presidency said a word about the purpose of the former president’s visits.

The opposition party was also said to have been disturbed by rumours that APC may consider the former leader for its 2023 presidential ticket.

However, Jonathan has remained silent over his sudden closeness with the ruling party and his speculated 2023 ambition presidential contest.
