2020 Soundcity MVP Awards: Naira Marley Bags First Award

Controversial musician, Naira Marley, has bagged his first major award as a musician.

The ‘Soapy’ singer who has enjoyed a troubled 2020 following controversies that have trailed him picked the award at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards which held at Eko Hotel on Saturday, January 11.

Naira Marley picked the award in the Viewers’ Choice category ahead of heavyweight musicians such as  Tiwa Savage with the song, 49-99 – Tiwa Savage (NG); Chinko Ekun (NG) Able God; Prince Kaybee (SA), Banomoya; Shatta Wale (GH), My Level; Burna Boy (NG), On The Low; Rayvanny (TZ), Tetema and Zlatan (NG), Zanku (Legwork).

Skales Announces He Is Dropping A New Album

Nigerian musician, Skales, has announced that he will be dropping his fourth body of work in four-month time.

The singer, revealed this in a Twitter post while addressing his fans.

While Skales did not reveal the title of the album or songs on it, it is believed that it will consist of singles already released.

Skales is currently promoting his new single ‘Oliver Twist II’ (Remix), a song which features Harmonize and Falz. The song is believed to be on of those that will make the album.

Harrysong Speaks Collaboration With KCee

Alterplate Records lead singer, Harrysong, has revealed that a collaborative music effort between him and former label mate KCee cannot be pre-planned.

The ‘Isioma’ singer revealed this during an exclusive chat with Juke Box, adding that this was despite his brotherly relationship with both Kcee and his brother E-money.

“Things like that are not pre-planned,” Harrysong said when asked if his fans can expect a fresh collaboration between him and KCcee in the nearest future.
